Our story

Joe Norman

ZydecoEvents.com was created in 2002 by our founder Mr. Joe Norman, creating a new era and vision for Louisiana and Texas Creole Culture. ZydecoEvent.com was the first website dedicated to Zydeco Music and Louisiana and Texas Creole Culture bridging the gap between the traditional offline Zydeco Nation and the emerging online Zydeco Nation, and laying the foundation for the creation of websites like ZydecoOnline.com and organizations like the Zydeco Historical & Preservation Society, Inc.

After Mr. Joe Norman’s retirement in 2016, the legacy of ZydecoEvents.com has been passed on to another generation under the Zydeco Historical & Preservation Society, Inc. It’s been 20 wonderful years and we have added a Southern Soul and Blues component to ZydecoEvents.com We will continue building on the legacy and foundation given to us. Our motto is and will always be "If it's happening in Zydeco, You can find it on ZydecoEvents.com"
